Developing a Meditation Practice & Deeper States of Meditation

Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th September 2019.

These two workshops form a weekend of meditation running at The OPAL Meditation and Retreat Centre in Dunamon, Roscommon, Ireland.

You can attend one of both workshops. The cost is €85 to attend one workshop or €150 to attend both workshops. Accommodation is available if required. Single Room = €25 Twin Room = €17.50 (per person for two people sharing).

Saturday 14th September – Developing Your Meditation Practice  09.45am – 5.30pm
This workshop will explore the concept and benefits of meditation and how to build a practice of meditation in our everyday lives. No previous experience of Mindfulness meditation or any other activities is required to attend this workshop.

Sunday 15th September – Deeper States of Meditation  09.45am – 5.30pm 
This workshop will focus on using deeper states of meditation to enhance your practice and discipline of meditation. You need to have attended day one or have prior experience in Mindfulness meditation to attend this workshop.

On both workshops we will use a range of creative Mindfulness processes plus guided meditation, instructional teaching sessions and periods of silent reflection. You will have the opportunity to develop and enhance your meditative ability at your own pace in a supportive and welcoming environment.

Please arrive on each day to be ready to commence at 09.45am.  You may want to arrive 10 or 15 minutes earlier than the commencement time to give yourself time to settle and make yourself comfortable before we commence.  If you are delayed for any reason, please just enter the room and join the group as quietly as possible. 

Food and Drink: Lunch is provided.  Water will be available at all times and tea / coffee available during the lunch break.  Please advise us at least two days prior to the event if you have specific dietary needs.  You are welcome to bring your own lunch if you prefer.

What to wear: Please wear comfortable clothing.  In meditation practice your body temperature may change, so it is advisable to wear layers of clothing so that you can add or remove a layer according to whether you feel hotter or colder.  We ask that you remove your outdoor footwear when entering the centre, so please bring indoor footwear. 

Where is The OPAL Centre: OPAL is in a small rural village called Dunamon in County Roscommon, Ireland.  We are approximately 17km from Roscommon town.  There is no public transport that serves Dunamon.  The nearest bus and train service is Roscommon town or Castlerea.
